Returning Home from US Tour: Han Praises Terry Guo as Rare Talent for KMT

Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜), Kaohsiung City Mayor, completed his nine-day US tour, arriving at the Taoyuan Airport in the early morning of April 18^th. He said that he felt enthusiasm from overseas Chinese and he also learned a lot, adding that “my body is fatigued, but my spirit is not.”

Han spoke highly of Foxconn ChairmanTerry Guo (郭台銘) for his abundant business experiences, which may be applied to the operations of diplomacy in the future. Han went on to say that Terry Guo could contact the White House, as well as Beijing directly, a rare talent in Taiwan, who could have such capabilities to reach both important administrations at the same time. Therefore, Han was pleased that Terry Guo had the willingness to enter the 2020 presidential race himself. When asked whether or not he would enter the 2020 presidential race, Han reiterated that this option was not among his current plans.

As to whether or not Han would meet with KMT Chairman Wu Den-yih (吳敦義), Han said that as long as time permitted, he would not rule out any arrangements.
