Timetable for Coal-Free Homeland: Taiwan Lags 20 Years Behind Europe

Several European countries have laid down a clear-cut timetable for the phase-out of coal-fired power generation. However, Taiwan, on the contrary, has yet to finalize any timetables for a coal-free homeland, and according to the authorities, it is estimated that the goal of a coal-free homeland “may” be reached by 2050 at the soonest, lagging 20 years behind European countries.
