China Times Latest Poll: Gap Between KMT and DPP Candidates Narrows

The 2020 presidential election day has entered the 100-day countdown. Want Want China Times Media Group’s (旺旺中時媒體集團) latest poll shows that the approval rating of Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) is 27.9%, while Tsai Ing-wen, the DPP candidate, 35.1%. After the Nanfang'ao Bridge collapse and Taichung illegal factory fire incidents, the gap between Han and Tsai narrows from 13.7 percentage points at the end of last month to 7.2 percentage points.

 

 

When asked whom they support, according to citizens’ responses, those candidates’ approval ratings are as follows:

Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文)

35.1%

Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜)

27.9

Annette Lu (呂秀蓮)

1.6
