Han in No Rush to Announce His Running Mate

Morris Chang (張忠謀), founder of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), denied the rumor yesterday that he would be the running mate of Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜), the KMT’s presidential candidate. According to an informed source, Han already had some preferences, and figures that outside circles conjectured were not on the shortlist. What’s more, Han hoped that he could raise his approval ratings within one month so that he could have more options open to him for his running mate; at the same time, this would allow the targeted figures to feel more at ease, so he would not announce his running mate at this stage, the same source concluded.
