Despite the ebbing of the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan, the number of confirmed cases abroad is still climbing. To this, the key factor to lifting the lockdown of countries or cities lies in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.
According to informed sources, the Adimmune Corporation has completed an animal experimentation for its development of a COVID-19 vaccine, and is slated to launch a human clinical trial on the potential vaccine in mid August.
The corporation has decided to cooperate with National Taiwan University (NTU), with Chang Shan-chwen (張上淳), NTU vice president, being in charge of the clinical trials, for which over 1,000 participants are slated to be recruited.
