Outgoing DPP Secretary-General: DPP to Get into Big Trouble Sooner or Later

The outgoing DPP Secretary-General Lo Wen-jia (羅文嘉), while recalling his days assisting the DPP Chairperson in running the party over the past year, indicated that some lines that the DPP drew were beyond his understanding. “I can see trouble ahead sooner or later,” he said.

Among the DPP factions, the Hai faction, led by Lin Kun-hai (林崑海), chairman of Sanlih E-Television Inc., a Green media outlet, controls media resources. Lo stated that nowadays business forces entered the media industry for political interests and purposes, adding that the relationship between politics and the media should be further examined.

With regard to the DPP’s party culture, Lo said that “the DPP that yesteryear used to do battle in the street with ideals has now become a vulgar party.”
