Chinese Taipei, in the morning of August 22, defeated Texas of the United States 9:1 to win the 2010 Junior League Baseball World Series (for players aged 13-14) sponsored by the Little League Baseball (LLB) Incorporated. It was the first time Chinese Taipei captured this title, but Chinese Taipei in the past had won 17 championships in both the Senior League (for age 14-16) and the Little League (for aged 11-13) divisions.
Since Chinese Taipei withdrew from the LLB in 1997, the last time Chinese Taipei competed in the Junior League and Senior League was in 1996. The Junior League 2010 championship title was Chinese Taipei's first onr since it captured the championship eighteen years ago at the Senior League Baseball 1992 World Series. Chinese Taipei’s 1992 Senior League team came from He-sheng Junior High School in Pingtung County while the 2010 Junior League team came from Chung-ching Junior High School in Taipei City.
