TVBS Poll: Tsai 46%, Chu 29%

The latest survey conducted by TVBS showed that, if the election were held tomorrow, 46% of the respondents would vote for DPP Presidential candidate Tsai Ing-wen, 29% for KMT Presidential candidate Eric Chu, and 10% for James Soong.
Furthermore, 74% of the respondents said that they intended to vote in the 2016 Presidential Election, 7% reported that they were still undecided, and 19% stated that they did not intend to vote. The survey estimated that the voter turnout rate would be 67%, lower than 2012’s 74.4% voter turnout rate.
The survey showed that if James Soong withdrew from the race, 52% of the respondents would vote for Tsai and 37% for Chu.
The survey also revealed that 33% of the respondents would vote for the KMT’s party list in the legislative elections, 28% for the DPP, 5% for the New Power Party (NPP, 時代力量黨), 3% for the People First Party, 3% for the Taiwan Solidarity Union, 2% for the Minkuotang (民國黨), 2% for the Green Party Taiwan (台灣綠黨), and 1% for other political parties
The latest poll was conducted from October 18 to 19, 2015, with 1,072 people successfully surveyed. The margin of error associated with this sample is plus or minus 3.0 with a 95 % confidence interval.
