 Sun Yat-Sen Univ. Ranks 40^th in World's 100 Under 50

The London-based Times Higher Education released its 2014 report on the "100 Under 50," i.e., the ranking of the world's top 100 universities established less than 50 years ago. The Kaohsiung-based National Sun Yat-Sen University(NSYSU, 中山大學) ranked in 40^th place, the best in Taiwan.

Three other Taiwan universities ranked in the top 100: Asia University (亞洲大學), ( 99^th), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (台灣科技大學), ( 42^nd ), and National Yang-Ming University (陽明大學), (96^th ).

Yang Hung-Duen (楊弘敦), NSYSU President, stated that NSYSU's ranking in research had steadily improved, and NSYSU had actively promoted connections and cooperation with industries, growing by over ten percent every year. Therefore, Yang added, he believed that NSYSU's ranking would continue to improve in the future.
