Hung: KMT-CCP Forum to Seek Solution to Cross-Strait Stalemate Sources: KMT Culture and Communications Committee October 19, 2016 The KMT-CCP forum will be held from November 2 to 3 in Beijing. KMT Chairperson Hung Hsiu-chu (洪秀柱) is expected to meet with Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, on November 1 when she visits Beijing for the forum. Yesterday, Hung met with members of the KMT legislative caucus. She stated that holding the forum would present an opportunity to extricate the nation from the current cross-Strait deadlock, adding that the party’s responsibility was to lead the public, instead of following the crowd.
