KMT Presidential candidate Eric Chu (朱立倫) called on Deputy Legislative Speaker Hung Hsiu-chu (洪秀柱) last night and invited Hung to serve as the chief campaign advisor in his election campaign. Hung agreed to serve as his chief campaign advisor and called on KMT supporters to unite in seeking victory in the 2016 Presidential Election.
“Hung is the most loyal party member who loves the party the most. In all our conversations, she never talked about setback and frustrations she went through, instead, she talked about the party’s reform,” Chu said. Chu went on to say that the main points of Hung’s ideas on the reform of the party were re-establishing the party’s founding principles, cultivating youth and promoting democratic institutions in the party.
Hung called on KMT supporters to open their minds, forget the past, and march forward in order to do our job for Taiwan’s democracy and the solidarity of the party.
