Han Kuo-yu had a successful rally, dubbed “land battle” at Fengshan in Kaohsiung City; the long-absent sea of ROC national flags waved in southern Taiwan, giving encouragement to the long low morale of the Blue camp. In order to galvanize the zeal of the voters, the DPP changed the main theme of the electoral battle from "reforms for the younger generation" to "reform will not backtrack, let’s jointly care for Taiwan," with the first rally activity starting from Taichung City. However, in order to stabilize swing voters, the DPP’s Lin Chia-lung focused on the construction card, hence, the voice of "caring for Taiwan" has become feeble relatively speaking.   These two rallies precisely meant that the situation of the Blue and Green’s turning around in the actual electoral campaign scenes.

The crossing of swords in the electoral campaign will last less than a month; the campaign has entered into street fighting from airwaves battles. The DPP, however, finds it difficult to seek popular resonance, witnessing the ever-increasing noise of "turning over Taiwan" and "giving the DPP a lesson.” Precisely because the Tsai government has not been able to maintain the “status quo” in the last two years and a half, with failures and mishaps in governance forcing Lai Ching-te, in his high office as Premier, to apologize eight times in one year. This not only debunked the myth of "Lai, the deity" but also exposed the embarrassment of the DPP’s ineffectual administration.

With unpopular governance at the national level, it is futile to use the slogan "reforms for the next generation" to seek young people’s support, allowing Han Kuo-yu to use the appeals of "stop young people from moving north," "allow Kaohsiung residents to move in and sell out the goods" to spearhead as if in no-man’s land. Han Kuo-yu, in fact, is the outlet for the people to vent their dissatisfaction as well as sorrows and depression against the DPP’s governance in the past two and a half years; the Internet volume is precisely the thermometer measuring popular demand for change. Being unable to capture young people’s votes, the DPP can only turn around to seek the embrace and warmth of pan-Green core support. However, we are afraid that even traditional supporters are reluctant to go to the polling stations, then they cannot “care for” Chen Chu, nor can they “care for" President Tsai Ying-wen.
