Anti-Same-Sex Marriage Group Forms Political Party, Seeking Legislative Seats in 2020

On May 24, when the same-sex marriage legislation took effect, the Greater Taipei Stability Power Alliance (GTSPA，安定力量), an anti-same-sex marriage group, announced that the Alliance would form a political party to enter the legislative races in 2020. The political party is slated not only to field over 10 candidates in the district legislative constituencies but also to seek at-large-legislators’ seats.
GTSPA Chairman Sun Chi-cheng (孫繼正) stated that “we cannot connive with politicians at trampling on democracy and the plebiscite proposition adopted in last year’s election,” adding that “this time, we want to elect our own legislators, and win Taiwan back by way of families.”
