  With Han’s Drop & Gou’s Stagnation in Internet Popularity, KMT Worries Tsai Might Turn the Tables

The KMT 2020 presidential primary has become fiercer and fiercer. The KMT’s internal report, based on iSocial’s statistics from January 1 to June 3, found that Kaohsiung City Mayor Han Kuo-yu’s (韓國瑜) popularity on the Internet was gradually declining, while Foxconn Chairman Terry Kou (郭台銘) still failed to make an effective breakthrough in popularity.

The KMT opined that as Han’s lead in popularity was narrowing, Gou might have a winning chance in a turn for the better. However, if in the popularity ratings of the KMT’s foes in the Presidential race, especially those of President Tsai Ing-wen, a gold cross should occurr first, it would be the greatest crisis for the Blue camp, the KMT concluded.
