Yesterday, the 2019 Cross-Strait Youth Summit was held in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province. Long Mingbiao (龍明彪), deputy director of the Mainland’s Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO,國台辦) under the State Council, stated that this was the sixth annual event, and the Summit, with its scale and impact getting larger and larger, had become an important platform for cross-Strait youth exchanges.

Long stated that by making public the exchange and cooperation projects between cross-Strait youths, presenting the project results, and sharing stories about cooperation between cross-Strait youths, this year’s Summit demonstrated that Taiwan youths truly benefited through their own experiences from the “Mainland’s preferential measures to Taiwan”.

In addition, Long announced that the Mainland would continue to offer more preferential measures to Taiwan in order to create a better environment for Taiwan youths on the Mainland.
