Has the Machinery of the State Changed its Surname to "Tang"—Political Party?
United Daily News Editorial (Taipei, Taiwan)

Translation of an Excerpt
The phrase "machinery of the state" has recently become a hot issue in the offense and defense between the ruling and opposition parties, especially eliciting attention during the presidential campaign. The so-called "machinery of the state" is that the rulers, through administration, legislation, and the system, as well as other tools of authority, control and govern the people. The Tsai government indeed has an ever-more serious tendency to abuse the machinery of the state; the machinery of the state, which originally should have maintained neutrality, has gradually become a tool for the DPP to grasp the state and control the people.
Since the so-called "Tsai faction Control Yuan (CY) members" nominated by President Tsai entered the CY last year, the CY has virtually become a schizophrenic organ, unable to use balanced values to adjudicate government ethics, not to mention reforming and improving officialdom. In CY investigations, it all depends on the color of the political party and the wishes of higher-ups. As long as the color is correct, with the consent of the higher-ups, violating the law and infractions of discipline may go on unimpeded; if the color is not correct, the higher-ups look down with disfavor, no matter how innocent, the party or parties cannot escape from disciplinary actions.
With respect to the saying going around that "the machinery of the state is very busy", in fact it is not false. Only that this machinery of the state has changed its surname to "Tang", only serving that political party.
