Stupid, When Your Neighbor’s House Is on Fire, Why Don’t You Hurry Up to Put It Out!

Translation of an Excerpt
The novel coronavirus broke out in Mainland China; the whole nation, from up on down, has been busying to limit the epidemic. Nevertheless, as Premier Su Tseng-chang ordered a ban on exporting surgical masks for one month, whether this decision is appropriate has become a verbal battle. What is incredible is that obviously the neighbor’s house is on fire and the flames are approaching our house, yet some people shouted loudly trying to stop others from helping put out the fire as if it had nothing to do with them. These people did not know that natural disasters would not extend the calamities to the other side of the Taiwan Strait, but contagious diseases could be transmitted to Taiwan, and in fact, a case has already been confirmed that it started locally in Taiwan, thus the epidemic will inevitably expand in the future. For those people whose brains have been overstrained because they have been hijacked by “hate the CCP” and “hate China” ideology, don't they understand that under the onslaught of the virus, nobody will be spared, thus helping others is helping themselves. It’s that simple.
The first and direct victims of the Wuhan virus are "Chinese", and the Mainland government has been working hard to control the epidemic. Even if we segregate "Chinese" and "Taiwanese", at the time when "Chinese" are heavy victims of the epidemic, "Taiwanese" cannot be immune to the calamity. In fact, Taiwan has already been involved in reverberations, and the epidemic situation is expanding. No matter how much you hate the CCP, and no matter how much you dislike "Chinese", you cannot escape from the basic law for the transmission of epidemics, not to say that with cross-Strait interactions and integration of flesh and blood, it is difficult to dissect the two.
