When the Militants Overwhelmed the Rationals, It Determined the Plight of Hong Kong

Translation of an Excerpt
The Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress of the Mainland passed the "National Security for Hong Kong Bill", which came into effect immediately that night. Hong Kong SAR status became constricted ahead of schedule, and Hong Kong people’s democracy was seriously deprived. Many countries around the world have expressed concerns about the future of Hong Kong, while the United States has announced the canceling of Hong Kong’s special status, suspending preferential treatment for Hong Kong, and stopped exporting protective equipment and high-tech products to Hong Kong in a show of sanctions. In fact, the US sanctions will only worsen Hong Kong’s economy, which is already bad.
When the "militant faction" took over the "rational faction" to become the mainstay for opposing amendments to the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance, which would allow fugitive offenders to be sent to the Mainland for trial, it determined Hong Kong’s fate today to be locked in the iron cage of the "National Security for Hong Kong Act". Under the mighty leadership of the "militants", Hong Kong democrats were abandoned like garbage. People who advocated rationality and peace were accused of being traitors. People who opposed violent attacks were accused of being a cowardly generation. Stores that had achieved prosperity and created job opportunities in Hong Kong were attacked mercilessly. These are giving the Chinese Communist Party an excuse to expedite the formulation of national security laws.
When the "militant faction" overwhelmed the "rational faction", when young people in black shirts in Hong Kong, equipped with various new weapons, fought in the streets to protest, the knowledgeable knew that external forces had intervened in the democratic movement in Hong Kong. Then, today Hong Kong being overwhelmed by the Beijing National Security Act is something expected. The only beneficiary is Tsai Ing-wen, who won big in her presidential re-election in Taiwan, since the dividends are already in her pocket.
