The Global Views Magazine Survey Center issued a survey on Taiwan public mood index of July 2007, showing the Taiwan public mood indicator as 36.8, 1.1 points higher than last month but still within the range of public disapproval of the government. However, political and economic confidence of the public stops declining and shows signs of climbing.
In addition, the same survey’s campaign indicator of the 2008 presidential election indicates that the KMT ticket, Ma Ying-jeou and Vincent Siew, will garner 62.3% of the vote, while the DPP presidential candidate Frank Hsieh 37.7% of the vote.
