Ma-Siew Hq. Raises a Ninth Question on Hsieh’s Integrity
Ma-Siew Campaign Headquarters
February 4, 2008
Following eight questions on DPP Presidential candidate Frank Hsieh’s integrity, Ma-Siew Campaign Headquarters spokesman Lo Chih-chiang today raised “a ninth question on integrity” for Hsieh, still questioning about the issue of political contributions to the Kaohsiung Development Association (KDA).
The fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth questions all focused on the issue of political contributions to the KDA, and the ninth one still pursued the same issue. Lo said “the KDA was transformed from the Kaohsiung Development Promotion Association (KDPA), which was founded by Hsieh when he ran for Kaohsiung mayor for the first time. The first president of the KDPA was Lee Chih-hong who had stated publicly that the KDPA raised a total of NT$ 90 million during 1997-98. Lo asked, “the flow of political contributions raised by the KDPA and KDA were all controlled by Chang Chih-rong, bookkeeper Siew, and other close aides of Frank Hsieh. Therefore, this is a very clear internal accusation. Does Hsieh still want to evade, dodge and not to explain publicly to the society?”
Lo indicated that Hsieh introduced his clean government policies “Three Aspirations” on January 28, and he also proposed “Three Noes and Two Withouts” on January 27, to extol integrity. However, he evades the nine questions posed by the Ma-Siew Campaign Headquarters, which means he must have something fishy.
