Taiwan Moves Up to 12th in WEF Global Competitiveness Report

The Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF) recently released its 2019 Global Competitiveness Report, in which Taiwan moved up one place to rank world No. 12 among the 141 economies assessed. Singapore topped the rankings, with the US and Hong Kong coming in second and third, respectively.
In the East Asia region, Taiwan was the fourth most competitive economy, trailing Singapore, HK and Japan, while ahead of South Korea, and Mainland China.
