December 8 & 9, 2019

The Taipei District Prosecutors Office indicted Slow Yang (楊蕙如) for making use of cyber warriors to exercise spin control through social media outlets, resulting in the suicide of diplomat Su Chii-cherng (蘇啟誠). To this matter, KMT Chairman Wu Den-yih (吳敦義) stated that as Yang caused the death of an excellent diplomat merely through Internet operations, many government agencies and state-owned enterprises made huge mistakes by paying more than NT$100 million (US$3.3 million) to this “hatchet man” surnamed Yang.

KMT presidential candidate Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) called on Yang on December 8 to courageously stand out, becoming a suspect turned witness for the prosecution. Han went on to state that by doing so, she would not only allow the public to understand the truth, but also allow a young person, who had committed blunders, to return to the right path in time.
