Slow Yang (楊蕙如) was indicted for hiring and instructing cyber warriors to exercise spin control by manipulating fake public opinions, resulting in the suicide of diplomat Su Chii-cherng (蘇啟誠). However, outside circles were wondering where Yang’s money to pay the cyber warriors came from.

Chao An-hua (趙安華), secretary-general of the ROC Oversight Alliance for Sports, suspected that after the Yi Shih Company Ltd. (易始股份有限公司), founded by Slow Yang, the PCG BROS (寶悍運動平台股份有限公司), and the Chinese Taipei Tennis Association (CTTA) had applied for subsidies amounting to NT$100 million from the central government and the Taipei City government between 2016 and 2018 in order to hold the WTA Taiwan Open, they allegedly used unverifiable receipts totaling over NT$90 million for final auditing of the subsidies. Chao questioned whether the money was used to hire the cyber warriors, thus constituting fraud.

Yesterday, Chao filed criminal charges with the Taipei District Prosecutors’ Office against Yang, Liao Yu-hui (廖裕輝), CTTA Chairman, Liu Chung-hsing (劉中興), CTTA secretary-general, and other six people for forging documents to gain subsidies through fraud.
