The TVBS Polling Center made public the results of its opinion poll on the three-way 2020 presidential race, including the DPP’s ticket of Tsai Ing-wen and Lai Ching-te (賴清德), the KMT’s ticket of Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) and Chang San-cheng (張善政), and the People First Party’s ticket of James Soong (宋楚瑜) and Yu Hsiang (余湘). The poll results showed that among respondents planning to vote, the Tsai-Lai ticket received a 51% support rating, a 5-percentage point increase from the preceding poll, leading over the Han-Chang ticket’s 29%, which dropped 2 percentage points, and the Soong-Yu ticket’s 7%. 14% of the respondents have yet to decide which ticket to support.

The gap between the Tsai-Lai and Han-Chang tickets in support ratings expanded to 22 from 15 percentage points. To this, a poll expert explained that this was the result of Han’s calling on his fans to refuse to answer pollsters’ questions or simply say they support Tsai only.
