The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) confirmed one new COVID-19 imported case (the 442nd case) in Taiwan on May 29, indicating that the patient was a male in his 20s who went to study in Russia last February and returned to Taiwan in the early morning on May 26 with 95 other passengers on a flight via Japan.

 

According to the CECC, no additional cases were confirmed on May 30 and 31. As of today, Taiwan’s confirmed cases have reached 442, with 351 imported, 55 locally transmitted, and 36 from a flotilla on a training and goodwill mission to Palau.
