Global Views Magazine Survey Research Center and Economic Daily News released results of a ‘Taiwan Public Mood Index’ on December 24. The December campaign indicators show that in the current 2008 Presidential election campaign between the pan-Blue and pan-Green camps, the KMT’s Ma-Siew ticket would garner 60.8% of the vote, and the DPP’s Hsieh-Su ticket 39.2% of the vote. Furthermore, the current campaign indicators forecast for the third time that the overall turnout in the March 2008 Presidential election will be lower than 70%.
This survey was conducted from December 17 to 19, with 1,002 adults interviewed.
